The Football Blitz

Thumbs Up to Miami, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Auburn, LSU and Georgia for participating in games that came down to the wire.  It is unfortunate that they all couldn’t be winners this weekend.  Great job to all of them!

Thumbs Up to Cincinnati and Boise State for continuing the winning streak!  I’d love to see these two teams square off in a BCS bowl, but what if they go undefeated?  Would that affect the National Championship game?

Thumbs Up to Kansas State for blocking an extra point at the end of the game to keep Iowa State from sending it into overtime.  Defense wins!!!

Thumbs Down to Houston for losing to UTEP 37-27.  Could it be a let down game or overlooking the opponent?

Thumbs Down to Washington State for possibly being one of the worst college football programs in the country.  Others I would include are Idaho, Colorado and Alcorn St., just to name a few.

Thumbs Down to Arkansas State for not finally getting a big win.  They played Iowa so close this weekend and lost 24-21.  As a coach, if I had them on my schedule I’d be concerned.  They have upset written all over them.
