The Football Blitz

Jim McElwain has paid his dues as a college and professional coach.  If you look at what he has done as the Alabama Offensive Coordinator one can see the the man has hit his stride and knows how to make an offense run effectively.  His total offense at Alabama is currently ranked in the top 6 in the nation and they are tied for 12th in the first down leader category.  He is surely to be a hot commodity as coaching vacancies begin to open up.  Tom Jurich at Louisville should take a serious look at this one considering his previous coaching experience at Louisville if a change does in fact occur there.  He has personality, charisma, a great coaching philosophy and is the complete package.  Here is a link to a radio interview from his days at Fresno State discussing his offensive football philosophy and below is a link to his pre-season press conference for Alabama that tells one all they need to know about how he runs a football program.  I truly look forward to watching him evolve as a head coach in the future…he will be a winner!  Here is also some fun facts about Jim McElwain…5 Questions.
