The Football Blitz

We are at the halfway point in the season and have seen some great football thus far.  Who will we see in the National Championship game this year?  Florida, Alabama, Texas, Iowa, Boise State, Cincinnati…It could be any combination of these teams and you can’t count out USC, LSU or Miami, all who could have an opportunity with so much football left to be played.  

Thumbs Up to the first BCS standings being released!

Thumbs Up to Alabama for jumping Florida in the Top 25.  Good to see that pollsters took notice of Florida’s close call with Arkansas.

Thumbs Up that Sam Bradford only aggravated his original injury and didn’t further injure himself.

Thumbs Downto all the penalties I saw this weekend.  It seemed more than normal.  Especially the ASU/Washington game.

Thumbs Down to being half way through the season.  That means were that much closer to the end.

Thumbs Down that Iowa will be in the National Championship talk.  They really need some style points to be taken seriously since they play in a down Big-10 conference this year.
