The Football Blitz

The game between Texas and Texas A&M is traditionally played on Thanksgiving.  It is this Thanksgiving’s Thursday Night Spotlight on ESPN at 8pm.  The rivalry between these two football teams is the third longest in the nation and the longest running rivalry for these two schools. Texas host the Hex Rally and A&M host the Aggie Bonfire in preparation for this game each year.  Beyond football, this rivalry continues into all sports at both schools.  The State Farm Lone Star Showdown was created and encompasses ALL sports that both teams field a varsity squad in.  The winner is determined based on a point system annually.
