Oregon vs. Arizona lived up to the hype.  One of the best Pac-10 games of the season that needed a triple overtime to decide the Pac-10 champ.  Oregon is now Rose Bowl Bound!  Here are the highlights from the game.  It’s funny how at the end of regulation Arizona students assumed they had won the game and jumped the rails prepared to rush the field.  Oregon scored and those students watched the OT from the field.  Arizona fans actually threw a water bottle at a cheerleader who was taken to the hospital as well.  Guess they should have prepared better crowd control in AZ.

Weis agrees that 6-5 isn’t good enough!  Weis says he is staying, but if he is let go can’t argue with it.  He says it best when he states all things that go wrong with the team fall on his shoulders.  Ultimately, he and his staff will pay the price if Notre Dame decides to go in a different direction.  One thing is for sure…Charlie Weis will NOT quit!

Saturday Chatter

Saturday Chatter. Saturday evening game is a big game in the Pac-10. Herbstreit discusses the matchup which is sure to be a real shootout. Mangino and Wies’ futures are also discussed. Lots will depend on the outcome of today’s game for Weis.  Herbstreit is correct on the Ohio State Michigan game.  Ohio State did win.

A look at bowl predictions.  Some likely scenerios are discussed in the video below.  Shocking Iowa has never played in a Fiesta Bowl and that is a likely possibility.  Boise State may not even receive a BCS bid, really?  These next two weeks will play a major factor in how the bowl games line up, but upsets can happen and that can change it all.  What amazes me is that Notre Dame still may be selected to the Gator Bowl if they win one more game.  That is an absolute joke!  Here is a look at all of it.

Head football coach at Kansas, Mark Mangino is facing serious allegations against his players. Is it just that he has a horrible temper? Does he use his methods for motivation, or is is just a few players unhappy and out to get a coach?  No matter the reason, there is no reason for abuse in a program, verbal or physical.  It seems most if not all of he allegations are based on verbal abuse, but they cross the line with personal matters.  Here is Mangino’s response to the allegations.

Kirk Herbstreit thoughts on Mangino’s future.  Will he have a future at KU?

Words of Wisdom from one of the greatest coaches, Lou Holtz (aka Dr. Lou).  Great idea from ESPN and this man truly has some experience in football, but also in the game of life.  If everyone took his advice think of how successful we would all be.

Top 5 Hits Week 11

The top 5 hits from week 11 in college football. Bacarri Rambo (#3) is my favorite. They are all good and #1 was awesome also…you have to think he was hit by an offensive player, not a defensive player. Wow!
